The Latest Content Card block automatically highlights recent WordPress content without relying on a fixed card design or an external template. It includes Gutenberg's native Query Loop, preconfigured to show the latest post. The displayed content updates as soon as a new matching publication is available.

The block is split into three clear areas: a free header, a native Query Loop with its repeated card template and a free footer. In the central template, editors can use native WordPress blocks such as Featured Image, Post Title, Post Date, Post Terms, Post Excerpt, Buttons, Group, Columns and other compatible blocks. Each card automatically receives the data of the content currently rendered by the query.

Dynamic queries for posts and custom post types

Use the native Query Loop settings to select the post type, number of items, sort order and direction. The loop supports custom post types available in WordPress. This makes the block suitable for a latest-news card, featured case studies, events, services or any custom editorial content.

No imposed visual design

The block does not add a default background, border, radius, font size or spacing. Native Gutenberg controls remain available on the main block and on every inner area. Editors can match the active theme, create a minimal editorial card or build a richer callout without writing CSS.
